Employments
Field Engineer
Visit WebsiteTravelling from site to site to work directly with customers, I service many aspects of the NHS's technical infrastructure in an ITIL compliant workflow. Within my first 6 months at the company, the number of incidents I resolved was within the top three for all staff members in that year.
Developed a custom Routing Engine for the field teams
Optimised our team's stock management systems
Became a representative for the staff union
Roles include:
Hardware Level Repairs
I came here early on in my career and grew as the company did - starting off with quality control and moving on to board repairs in time. One service I got particular adept in, was refurbishing delicate screens - we used to be able to split open LCD panels and recondition them from the inside, removing liquid staining from the whole assembly.
- Designed & built ALB's asset management backend from the ground up.
- Designed the company's logo.
- Fitted many workspaces in the facility.
Other Projects
Custom Packaging Labels
I made some custom labels for Lloyd Maunder's “Ready To Cook” Range. Designing and printing these labels on high quality card stock using a photographic printer which I've modified to support a continuous ink system, I was able to provide rapid prototyping while directly saving costs to the customer.
Transcender
Transcender is an interactive repository that I've built for storing large amounts of data in a smooth interface. I leveraged freely available software to make development faster where possible, but also implemented an array of purpose built extensions to that code, directly modifying the physics engine for the website's cyclic graph to get the best result possible.
Take a lookAutomated Hydroponics
I designed and built a vertical hydroponic growth system. Automated electricals, bacterial inoculants and aeration ensure that the system looks after itself - plants go in, food comes out - and there's no soil at all.
